Dr. Christopher Le Roi Harrison was born and raised in Niles, Michigan and graduated from Niles High School in 1959. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Houston in 1966 and went to work in the corporate world for two years with the International Harvester Corporation.
In 1968 he matriculated into the chiropractic program at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (now the Southern California University of Health Sciences). He graduated with a doctorate in chiropractic (D.C.) in 1972 and went into private practice in the state of California. While in private practice he was on the faculty at the Palmer West University of Chiropractic teaching part time. Later he was asked to become chairman of the Department of Applied Kinesiology which he did for three years. Dr. Harrison was also asked by the California Chiropractic Association to be chairman of the Department of Research, a position he held for three years.
In 1994, Dr. Harrison relocated from California to the state of Alabama and purchased a practice in Vestavia Hills, Alabama where he has been in practice since that time.
Dr. Harrison has four children. His first is his son Wayne who is a retired colonel in the United State Marine Corps and presently works in the defense industry. Wayne and his wife Michelle have three children. Jenny is Dr. Harrison's second child and is a nurse and married to Kelly and they have one child and one grandchild and reside in the state of Texas. Tyler is Dr. Harrison’s third child and Tyler is a graduate of the University of California, Davis and became an All-American Collegiate Rugby player while there. Tyler earned his D.C. degree from Life West Chiropractic University and is practicing in Sacramento, California. Dr. Harrison’s fourth child is Summer. Summer has distinguished herself with a 4.13 grade point average at Vestavia Hills High School. Summer received her B.A. and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and is presently employed.
Dr. Harrison, when not working in his chiropractic practice enjoys dancing to Cajun and Zydeco bands from Louisiana, listening to and singing along(no, he cannot sing but he loves doing it anyway) with U tube videos of his favorite music (blues, country, and vintage rock and roll and popular songs from the 1950’s). He goes to the gym regularly, does yoga and likes to hang upside down to stretch his spine. When time permits, he practices in the martial arts. Dr. Harrison is involved in constitutional and conservative movements to help bring our nation back to what the Founding Fathers laid out for us. Dr. Harrison is a Christian and attends church on a regular basis.
